Moving to other VPS server

Question
We need to move one of our VPS servers to another, bigger VPS server. Can we simply back up the first server and restore the backup on the other or do we have to do something else as well?

Answer
If you take a backup of the first server and then set up a new instance of the same server you will end up with more than one copy of the unique pattern. If you do this, you'll need to remove the pattern and purchase a new shelf. Otherwise there is nothing to worry about.
